OLTP and OLAP: Two great tastes that taste great together

We all want everything in “real-time”...our feeds to load, our order to be delivered, and our business analytics dashboard refreshed. But what does real-time actually mean? And, how, in an technical environment with a plethora of choices, do you architect a system?
